Amanda Hollick

Teacher, Elementary

Amanda is excited to return to the DRMS community for her fifth year as our new Elementary teacher! Born in Chile, Amanda has lived and grown up in Washington, DC. She began her Montessori journey as a primary student at the Children’s House of Washington in Georgetown, and attributes her love of learning and desire to contribute to her community to this experience.

She earned her BA from Hobart and William Smith Colleges, majoring in Educational Studies and Spanish & Hispanic Studies. After college, Amanda found herself back in the Montessori world, working as an assistant for 2 years. From there, she obtained her AMI diploma at the primary level (ages 3-6) from the Washington Montessori Institute and her M.Ed. from Loyola University Maryland. Amanda is currently working on her AMI certificate at the elementary level with an expected graduation in 2026.

Amanda enjoys many outdoor hobbies like running, hiking, biking, and taking her dog, Lennon, on long walks. She plays the guitar, ukulele, and piano, and loves to take on many different art endeavors.
