The Del Ray Montessori School is a non-profit Montessori School located in the quaint Del Ray neighborhood of Alexandria, Virginia, we are associated and recognized by AMI/USA (Association Montessori International). Founded in 2011, we serve children ages 18 months through age 12 and their families in the DC metropolitan area.
Finance Manager
Jim Wallace has many years of experience in accounting and small business management, with ten years serving at The Del Ray Montessori School. Throughout Jim’s career, he has worked with many businesses (commercial and non-profit) and individuals in the Alexandria and Metro area as a CPA and Quickbooks consultant. He also spent almost two decades in the media production business as A/V and computer systems engineer, both at his own studios as well as others (such as The Great Courses).
Jim has a BS in Audio Engineering from American University , most of an MBA from George Mason University, and is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Virginia. In 2021 he was appointed Treasurer for the Del Ray Citizen’s Association.
Jim has been a musician for many decades and currently sings in a choir, plays in a few bands, and firmly believes one can never have too many guitars.
