The Del Ray Montessori School is a non-profit Montessori School located in the quaint Del Ray neighborhood of Alexandria, Virginia, we are associated and recognized by AMI/USA (Association Montessori International). Founded in 2011, we serve children ages 18 months through age 12 and their families in the DC metropolitan area.
At The Del Ray Montessori School (DRMS), our focus everyday is to provide an educational foundation that instills respect, curiosity, and perseverance for every child, creating a love for learning and establishing a foundation for success in preparation for life’s adventures.

Founded in 2011, we serve children ages 18 months through age 12 and their families in the DC metropolitan area.
We follow the highest standards of the authentic Montessori framework and curriculum, consistently improving and innovating our program to meet each child’s individual needs. Our teaching family are child development experts with the ability to focus on the whole child, creating a life-long love for learning and preparing children towards becoming graceful, courteous adults that will positively contribute at home, at work, and in their community. Our five classrooms are thoughtfully prepared and designed to encourage hands-on learning, exploration, and independence. Our children love to learn, welcome new lessons, and work together as a community to help each other.
