Why I serve on the Board:

“Although not directly connected to DRMS as a parent, I believe that DRMS is an environment where young people are given a strong foundation academically and socially that will allow them to step into any setting and be comfortable. The school's focus on providing "an educational foundation that instills respect, curiosity, and perseverance for every child" is very much in line with my educational philosophy and my personal parenting style.”

John Bonhom, Member

Mr. John Bonhom has served as a school administrator in the fields of admission, enrollment management, and financial aid at prestigious schools in Maryland, Virginia, and New Hampshire for over 15 years. Mr. Bonhom has also served as a teacher, academic advisor, committee leader, program coordinator, and project manager, among other roles. This experience has given him deep insight into how the advancement arena impacts the school experience for all constituents. Mr. Bonhom received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Educational Studies with a concentration in Social Class and Urban Education from Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut. He earned his Master of Arts degree in Education with a concentration in School Administration at Michigan State University, in East Lansing, Michigan. His research at Michigan focused on multicultural education, especially issues of diversity and inclusion in schools. In his spare time, John loves spending time with his family, watching his sons play sports, reading, traveling, jet skiing, watching movies and learning about anything dealing with consumer technology.
